Region VII PDC Activities
Region VII Planning & Development Council engages in a wide variety of activities in an effort to promote economic development, enhance infrastructure, and promote leadership and entrepreneurial skills.
In so doing, the Regional Council staff has acted as organizers and planners of meetings and conferences with various entities, ranging from general public forums to various planning agencies throughout West Virginia and beyond; from State and Federal agencies to non-profit organizations; and even to high-school and college students.
Quite often community projects result in the collaboration and networking encountered during such activities.  For example, the RFD7 forums hosted by Region VII in collaboration with Appalchian Regional Commission (the best-attendend forum of the 20 nationwide forums held), led to several Youth Summits, which in turn have led to the inception of a Youth Council.
