The Region VII Planning & Development Council meet on June 22, 2009, at the North Buckhannon Riverfront Park. BBQ ribs and chicken served by Walker Redds added to the luau-themed venue. During the meeting, council members heard updates from Mike Masterman of Extreme Endeavors, the WV Wesleyan College SIFE Team, and several of the newly selected On-Trac communities within the Region VII area.
Members also said goodbye to several council members: John Bennett, Glenville (replaced by newly-elected Mayor Tashua Allman); Dianne Hicks, Jane Lew (replaced by Sam West), Gary Miller, Junior (replaced by Rickey Vest); Diane Currence, Mill Creek (replaced by Bill Brock); and Carl Carr, Sand Fork (replaced by Franklin Tomblin).
